Dell to double call center workers in RP

Michael Dell, founder and chairman of Dell Inc., announced Tuesday that the company was doubling its call center agents in the Philippines to 1,400 people from the current target of 700.
Speaking during the official launch of the Philippine call center facility at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Dell said that the company is now expanding its call center operations worldwide, opening at least 10 new facilities in recent years.
Wow. I didn't even know that Michael Dell was here. One thing though, he promised 5000 more jobs in India (as pictured above) but only 700 more here. I wonder why? Is India a better business model than ours?
But still, that's 700 more employed people for the Philippines...
