From Aguinaldo's time until the present, the Philippine Republic has undergone five fundamental changes, That is, for each Republic a new Constitution was drafted. This series divides the last hundred years into periods roughly divided by these five phases in the changing Republic including two other transitional phases in its history so as to provide a cohesive continuum of events.
