Did Jesus exist? Court to decide

ROME, Italy (Reuters) -- Forget the U.S. debate over intelligent design versus evolution.

An Italian court is tackling Jesus -- and whether the Roman Catholic Church may be breaking the law by teaching that he existed 2,000 years ago.
This is just like a Lifetime movie of the week. Now the existence of Jesus will be put on trial. You think there'll be people who'll be trooping to Italy to cheer and jeer the trial?

This isn't just the trial of the century. This is the trial that will end all trials. I mean what if the verdict is negative. Dang! Think of all the millions and millions the church will lose in donations and the like.

Reminds me of the quote of Charles Baudelaire, "It is the greatest art of the devil to convince us he does not exist". Or for movie buffs it's what Verbal Kint says to Keaton in The Usual Suspects, "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."
