"George Takei, who as helmsman Sulu steered the Starship Enterprise through three television seasons and six movies [of Star Trek], has come out as a homosexual in the current issue of Frontiers, a biweekly gay and lesbian Los Angeles magazine..."If you think about it, the Star Trek crew would have been the first show to have an almost balanced set of racial and sexual demographics. All they're missing now is a lesbian.
