Heather Evangeslista has been proclaimed by the showbiz press as the next big superstar. Her career quickly fades to black when she is found dead at the set of her latest movie. Also found at the scene-- the remains of a duwende (dwarf). When crime takes a turn for the weird, the police call Alexandra Trese.
Trese is a comic book with supernatural themes created by writer Budjette Tan and drawn by artist Kajo Baldisimo. The series centers around Alexandra Trese, a detective that deals with crimes of supernatural origin. It won Best Graphic Literature in the 29th National Book Award last November 2010.
Comic book heroine, Alexandra Trese is portrayed as a strong, independent, modern woman. She has roots in the supernatural underworld. Themes of the story revolves around this as she investigates crime and battles ghosts, monsters, and beings from this world.
