June Pointer, the youngest original member of the Grammy-winning group the Pointer Sisters, who started as a gospel singers in Oakland and reached pop music stardom in the 1970s, died Tuesday. She was 52.
The Pointer Sisters were a huge hit here in the Philippines. I think they even had a concert here in Manila.
I bet good ole June is singing her heart out up there right now. Jumping up and down the clouds too...
