Picture Perfect

***PERSONAL POST - JUST SKIP***

Sometimes things happen for a reason.

It may start out bad.. i mean real bad. Then after a few weeks, things just levels off and goes back to normal. And you see yourself in a different perspective. Then it all clicks back to place.

It's an end of a chapter for me. I can't wait to see what's in store for me next.

It truly is a wonderful world.

*cue music*

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I just feel like walking towards the sunset. You do know Manila Bay is famous for it's sunsets, now, don't you?

There's a bright new day ahead of me. I hope y'all have one yourselves...

The Fray Interviewed

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
And you begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life...

Yep! The radio show I usually guest (actually, pester) in is going to interview The Fray! It will be on Monday, April 30.

The show is Good Times with Mo and it's on Magic 89.9. Time slot is 6am to 9am. Philippine time for the uninitiated...

Do check it out.

WELCOME TO POTTERLAND

FANS of Harry Potter could soon be riding broomsticks at a theme park dedicated to the boy wizard.

Author JK Rowling is just about to sign deal to build a £250million park in Florida.

Universal Studios are set to add a Potterland to their Islands of Adventure park after two years of negotiations. The deal could add £9million a year to the writer's £576million fortune...

Not really on the top of the list of every filipino child's wish umm.. list but a Harry Potter theme park..

I guess that would be the cleanest theme park in the world with all those broomsticks.

10 most downloaded iTunes songs for 2006...

Topping the charts as the number one top-selling iTunes hit for the year was ...Bad Day.
...The top-selling album of the year on iTunes was How To Save a Life by Fray.

I'm not really into sappy songs but hey.. How to Save a Life seems to be on my mind these couple of weeks:

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
And you begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life...

Hehehe.. I wonder what's the most pirated downloaded song in the Philippines is?

Plagiarist!

Just posted about Johnny Hart. So sad, so sad.

But after posting about a hero, here comes the zero...

Back in September of 2001, cartoonist Dave Kelley drew a one panel comic strip called Purple Pussy depicting a cute kitten girl praying for the death of everyone. It mostly went unnoticed.

Recently, the Jack Gallery in Los Angeles hosted an exhibition entitled “Golddigger” featuring the works of Todd Goldman. Amidst Goldman’s “originals” was a painting that is an almost exact replica of Dave’s Purple Pussy strip.

In the age of the internets, crime just doesn't pay, it gets downloaded...

*uhurm* cheesy? Sorry, i was just doing my CSI:Miami David Caruso one liner, Philippine style... hehehe

‘B.C.’ cartoonist Johnny Hart dies at storyboard

ALBANY, N.Y. - For millions of comic strip readers, the prehistoric era was a hoot: Cavemen played baseball, ants went to school, birds rode on the back of turtles and snakes made quips.

All of it was thanks to cartoonist Johnny Hart, who died Saturday at age 76 while working at his home in the nearby hamlet of Nineveh. “He had a stroke,” his wife, Bobby, said Sunday. “He died at his storyboard.”

B.C. hehehe.. one of my favorite strips. I even had a videogame based on it for the Commodore 64. He also writes the Wizard of Id, if you didn't know....

Thanks for the all laughs, Mr. Hart. You've made the whole world smile everyday, specially this guy in the Philippines.

Digital Coloring Tutorial

MAD Magazine’s Tom Richmond offers up another juicy tutorial, this time on digital colouring: Part One, Part Two, Part Three. Pro users may not learn too much, but Tom’s nothing if not incredibly in-depth. He covers every detail of his colouring process no matter how seemingly inconsequential, never assuming anything of the reader. This makes it a great resource for students or those just learning the ins and outs of Photoshop. The tutorial covers everything from scanning the art right down to the last little highlight.

Real interesting. Makes me wanna go out and color something. Oh and do go to Part one first.

How?

Oh, click the link, silly...
