How to bake a potato
Baked Potatos! Baked Potatos!
And it's got pictures too! I'm planning this as a project with The Pepper. And besides, I like the part where I have 1 hour and 15 mins to play around it while the potatos are baking....

Snarl Hobbes, Snarl

Anyway, I haven't been posted anything new these past days. Or has it been weeks? Blame it on The Pepper. I'm not complaining but the demands of those two readers (or is it three?) out there must be sated!
This cartoon here reminds me of this blog. Sometimes, it becomes a chore. Specially on days like this that I'm flying high on love.

Harold and Maude and Mary
I just saw the movie Harold and Maude.
The scene in the ambulance with Maude dying just gets me:
HAROLD: Never! Never! I'll never forget you. I wanted to marry you. Don't you understand! I love you. I love you!
MAUDE: Oh! That's wonderful, Harold. Go - and love some more.
Dang. That just takes the cake. Mary (Cameron Diaz, Something About Mary) was kind of right. Harold and Maude is the best love story of all time. Well, not really. But it's up there. Bud Cort reminds me of a cross between Matthew Broderick and Bright Eyes singer, Conor Oberst. Even the soundtrack has that Bright Eyes feel to it as laid out by Cat Stevens. Even his latest (Conor's) song First Day of My Life easily fits in to the overall theme of the story.
Ack! Don't tell me I'm becoming to sound like a movie reviewer. Bottom line is Harold and Maude is a must see for it's quirkiness, it's innocence, and for one of the best love tandems on film. Bar none.
Now if I could only have that Jaguar Hearst that Harold drives...

FX taxis strike over route, phaseout
"...Thousands of operators and drivers of FX and other Asian utility vans (AUVs) are expected to abandon their routes today...
...Magno said an LTFRB circular on the implementation of the AUV Express issued July 21 posed many problems for FX operators. First, it prohibited the conversion of FX models from 1996 and older. Magno said the prohibition would effectively phase out 7,000 units...
...Related to that, AUV groups will be required to put up their own terminals which must have a waiting lounge, toilet with diaper station and food outlets..."
Let me get this straight...
FX Operators will go on strike today because primarily a phase out of some of their numbers. So they will not operate today because sometime down the road, they won't be able to operate?
Oh and they're protesting the setting up of terminals because they're already comfortable using public roads which by the way causes traffic.
Yeah, I see a lot of people supporting them for sure.
